Ronardo was most recently a turnaround principal at Danforth Middle School in Syracuse, New York. Prior to that, he was the chief academic officer for the Special School District in Louisiana. His career also includes his tenure as assistant principal, where he regularly served over 1,000 students and over 120 staff. Ronardo also served as a special education teacher and a paraprofessional early in his career after separating from active duty with the U.S. Air Force.
Ronardo believes that all students have the ability to make great academic and social gains when challenged and supported and that it is the responsibility of educators to challenge students and set high instructional expectations. Born in Georgia and raised in Florida, he holds a bachelor’s degree from Oglethorpe University, master’s degree from Clark Atlanta University, and educational specialist and doctorate degrees from Argosy University Sarasota. He enjoys restoring classic cars and building motorcycles, and competes as an amateur bodybuilder. He’s also proud to be a mentor to three of his former students.
