Growing up as the child of two public school teachers and now as the parent of two public school students, Laura’s passion for improving education runs both long and deep. For nearly 20 years, Laura has led integrated communications and marketing campaigns at education-focused organizations. After a decade supporting schools as they began travel programs, Laura’s commitment to a more equitable public education system drew her to leverage and examine public policy at the Center on Reinventing Public Education, PIE Network, and Stand for Children. Laura holds a BS and MA in Communication, both from Arizona State University where she taught public speaking, small group communication, and gender at work.
