Tim Valenti, M.A.
Director of Data Strategy
Tim Valenti is a strategic leader with a passion for ensuring student college readiness and success by translating research into practice and supporting school communities by designing operational and data infrastructures.
Working with the Harlem Children Zone in New York City, he found what would become his passion: turning statistical analysis into meaningful and sustainable action. In 2011, he completed his Master of Education at Columbia University, and nearly 10 years later, he remains focused on supporting stakeholders to ask the right questions and design methods to answer them, giving data a voice in institutional decision making, and providing tools to enhance learning strategies. Tim gained extensive experience in translating the latest education research into practice with Chicago Public Schools and The University of Chicago’s Network for College Success. As the managing director of data systems and accountability at Perspectives Charter Schools in Chicago, he helped develop data structures to support the school’s community to make informed decisions and meet state, district, and school goals. Perspectives saw record growth in KPIs across departments and earned top ratings in city accountability measures.
Recently, Tim returned to his home state of Maine with his wife and two kids, where they enjoy the great outdoors and spending time with family.
