Alexa Escobedo

Alexa is a teacher who stepped out of the classroom to join the fight in dismantling oppressive systems within education. Her passion for building transformative relationships with her students and ensuring equity for all has led her to CT3. She left the classroom in June of 2021 after teaching at the elementary level for ten years. During those ten years, she wore many hats: technology coach, principal advisory committee member, district liaison, Kindness Week Chairperson, PBIS committee member, school play choreographer, volleyball coach, etc.

Before joining CT3, Alexa worked as the Marketing Coordinator for the Institute for Education Innovation. While there, she was able to partake in varying projects that amplified the voices of leaders of color and engaged in partnerships with companies that strive to help all students achieve. While at IEI, she met CT3 and was exposed to the incredible work happening in the districts and school sites they serve.

Alexa holds a BA in History from UC San Diego and an MST in Elementary Education from Fordham University. She lives in Southern California with her husband, two sons, and three (dog) daughters. During her free time, she enjoys playing volleyball, watching The Great British Bake Off or Formula 1: Drive to Survive, and partaking in dance parties with her boys.
